Change your password

Change your password from Account Settings when you want to rotate a credential or protect your account after a device or password manager problem.

Before you start

• You must be signed in.
• You need your current password.
• Your new password must be at least 12 characters.

Steps

1. Open Account Settings.
2. Select the Change Password tab.
3. Enter your current password in Current Password.
4. Enter a new password in New Password.
5. Enter the same new password in Confirm New Password.
6. To end all other active sessions, select Sign out from all other devices.
7. Select Change Password.

What happens next

Mincemeat confirms that the password changed. If you selected Sign out from all other devices, every other browser session is revoked; your current session stays active so you can continue working.

The password change is recorded in My Activity.

Troubleshooting

Problem	What to check
The form says the password is too short	Use at least 12 characters. A longer passphrase is usually easier to remember.
The confirmation does not match	Re-enter New Password and Confirm New Password.
You cannot remember your current password	Contact support through your normal support channel. Do not share old or new passwords in the request.
You think another device is signed in	Change your password again and select Sign out from all other devices.
