Sign in to Mincemeat with the email address and password for your account. If two-factor authentication is enabled, Mincemeat asks for a second verification step before opening the app.
Before you start
- You need an active Mincemeat account.
- You need your password.
- If 2FA is enabled, you need your authenticator app or one unused recovery code.
Steps
- Open the Mincemeat app.
- Enter your email address in Email.
- Enter your password in Password.
- Select Sign in.
- If Mincemeat shows Two-Factor Authentication, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app or paste one unused recovery code.
- Select Verify.
What happens next
After a successful sign-in, Mincemeat opens the page you were trying to visit or the dashboard. Your session can continue across page refreshes, but you may be asked to sign in again after a period of inactivity or after your account permissions change.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Your password is not accepted | Check that you are using the email address for this account and that Caps Lock is off. |
| You see Two-Factor Authentication but cannot access your app | Use one unused recovery code, then regenerate recovery codes after you sign in. |
| The 2FA code is rejected | Wait for the next code in your authenticator app and confirm your device time is set automatically. |
| An error includes a reference value | Copy the reference and follow Use a correlation ID. |
